The studio
Sukha — the Sanskrit word for ease. It is what we want a room to feel like.
A small studio, working slowly
Sukha Space is an interior design studio and furniture maker in Hà Đông, Hanoi. The studio grew out of years of building private homes, and out of the pieces we kept designing for them because we could not find them anywhere else.
We work slowly and in person. Materials are chosen by hand at the showroom, pieces are drawn for the room they will live in, and we stay with a project until the last object is placed.
01
Material honesty
Solid timber, stone, brass and linen: materials that are what they appear to be, and that age into character rather than wearing out.
02
Quiet craft
Every piece passes through the hands of makers who work slowly and check their own work. Nothing leaves unfinished, even where no one will look.
03
Enduring design
We design for decades, not seasons: forms calm enough to outlast trends, built soundly enough to outlast us.
